Allergies

Wednesday, July 20th, 2011

My dog’s allergy test results returned and he’s apparently allergic to nearly all staple foods of our human lives.  Thus, I have to discard the dog food and prepare homemade food for him every day, which makes me really excited.  I don’t like the feeling of putting questionable food into my dog’s belly; mine, that’s another story, I’ll eat anything from a street stand even if it means the runs for 3 months.  But for my doggy, I want him to be healthy because he’s not made of adamantium like meself.

I found some great resources on raw dog food, so I made a concoction of fresh raw lamb, veggies, egg, oats, and supplements for his digestive system.  But I made a mistake, I pureed everything, even the meat, which resulted in unsightly diarrhea-looking paste.  My dog’s not very picky, but I think I went too far this time.

I’m trying to find more economical ways to prepare his food because it can be quite costly this way.  Costco, is one of my best friends. I’m happy because they provide organic foods now–a long way from their Price Club days.  Haven’t heard that name for a while, huh?

Anyway, my dog doesn’t like eating alone, so I have to stay in the same room for him to eat.  He ate half his meal so far, so that’s a good sign.  I’m paranoid about leaving the food out since it’s raw, but I make sure to take the bowl away if it’s been sitting out long enough.  I also scrub down the area with anti-bacterial soap when he’s done.  I’m a selective germaphobe.

Anyway, I have to get going. Lots of errands to run.

WHAT IN THE WORLD?

Tuesday, July 12th, 2011

I’m not sure what’s going on with my body, biologically speaking.  I’m eating everything in very large portions.  I ate a hamburger and fries from IN N OUT, then a bag of fruit from a fruit stand bagged with chili pepper, salt, and lime, then  bought a box of cherries from costco, ate all of that, then became hungry an hour later, so I ate salmon in a can; yes, salmon in a can (also from costco), then drank water with chia seeds, then went to Tofu Ya for soodubu, followed by dessert at this pretzel place, but i didn’t only eat a pretzel–butter honey bread, jalapeno pretzel, and a coffee.  Then I went home with thoughts of instant ramen, but opted for a healthier option–white nectarine.  I’m definitely not depressed, bored, or anything negative really.  Is there a positive mental disorder?

Anyway, I managed to exercise control at one point and didn’t buy the hot dog with onions at costco.

With that i bid you adieu before I muster the strength to make instant ramen because I’ve been thinking about that for a couple of days now.

Dear Blog,

Monday, July 11th, 2011

I spent 2 days searching for the best possible airline fares after returning home from traveling for a month.  Found the best possible fares (pat on the back).  Somewhere in between I researched when & how to plant garlic, because I want to add garlic to my garden.  Every day I’ve been eating at at least one favorite restaurant and reading A STORM OF SWORDS.  Now I’m tired, slightly delirious, no, definitely delirious and partially grumpy so sweet dreams.
