I felt compelled to repsond to your post as it’s horrible the way some ppl get screwed out of everything just because of the marriage clause and their spouse had absolutely nothing to do w/ the money they made. I dated an NHL goalie a few years ago & i would go in the locker room & see some of these sweet, great guys getting pushed around by cheating/gold digging bit%$es.

And I REALLY had that urge to punch one of them in the face, but.. I am a lady and that wouldn’t have been appropriate (unfortunately, heh). Their behavior made me paranoid during my relationship w/ Eric as i would think, does he think I’m like them,, or does he think I’d ever become that bad?

So I made it a point to either buy him things whenever I could, pay for meals, etc just to show him I didn’t care about his millions as that’s his hard earned money from his job. I only cared that we were partners in our relationship & we should be equal regardless of how much more money he made than I did.

I feel like the spouse has nothing to do w/ the work of the other. If someone likes that lifestyle, fine, but they should be considerate of the person they supposedly love & don’t rob them of their hard earned money. I don’t understand how someone can put someone they loved enough to marry through so much pain & suffering.
